{"id":2084,"date":"2022-12-26T14:23:22","date_gmt":"2022-12-26T13:23:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.campinglesviolettes.fr\/la-casse-de-la-belle-henriette\/"},"modified":"2024-05-27T16:47:03","modified_gmt":"2024-05-27T14:47:03","slug":"the-belle-henriette-heist","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.campinglesviolettes.fr\/en\/news\/the-belle-henriette-heist\/","title":{"rendered":"La casse de la Belle Henriette"},"content":{"rendered":"<section id=\"ls-section-block_3765718f30e71a41cdf6fa178775d80f\" class=\"ls-section \" >\r\n        <div class=\"container container--wide\">\r\n        \n\n<h1 class=\"ls__heading wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">The nature reserve of the casse de la belle henriette<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"ls-paragraph\">The nature reserve of the Belle Henriette break is located in front of the <a href=\"\/\">campsite Les Violettes<\/a>, so you can take advantage of your free time to <strong>observe and explore.<\/strong> The national nature reserve was created on 31 August 2011 and covers a total area of 337 hectares, mainly on the maritime domain.<br><br>The reserve is managed by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lpo.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">LPO (League for the Protection of Birds)<\/a> and the AFB (French Agency for Biodiversity).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"R\u00e9serve naturelle nationale de la casse de la Belle Henriette\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ue6FHzZDAxI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"ls-paragraph\"><br><br>La <a href=\"https:\/\/reserve-naturelle-belle-henriette.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Casse de la belle Henriette<\/a> is an <strong>important reserve<\/strong> for the conservation and observation of numerous bird species. Over 250 species of birds have been observed over the years. Depending on the season, you can observe the Short-eared Owl, the Brent Goose, the Osprey and the Caspian Tern.<br>It is also an <strong>important reserve for bird breeding,<\/strong> especially for species such as the Ring-necked Plover, the Blackbird and the Meadow Pipit. The reserve is also important for the conservation of plant species.<br><br>After being disconnected by man from the ocean some fifty years ago, the lagoon has been naturally connected to the sea again since 2014.<br>Nearly 360 plant species have been recorded in the reserve, 32 of which have an important heritage value and 10 of which are protected (French ollet, Jaubert&#8217;s odontitis, etc.) at regional and national level. The reserve is accessible to visitors within the limits and respect of the developed and marked paths.<br><br>According to one study, 11% of plant species are of <strong>national conservation concern,<\/strong> one of which, the Euphorbia peplis, is now considered to be<br>priority. The other species are French endemics.<\/p>\n\n\r\n
